Tyson Fury, the former world heavyweight champion, has returned to Marbella with trainer Ben Davison in anticipation of what may be another historic 12 months in the Gypsy King’s career.
After a brutal 12-round fight with Deontay Wilder on December 1, Fury had been spending Christmas with his family.
In a contentious draw with WBC king Wilder in Los Angeles, the former unified champion twice climbed off the mat.
With the two parties scheduled to resume talks this month regarding a lucrative rematch, Fury is already back in Marbella.
As he aims to build on a fantastic 2018, Fury was seen in an Instagram snap with Davison, fellow boxers Joe McCann and Jono Carroll.
After being out of the ring for two and a half years, Fury made a comeback last June against Sefer Seferi and then again in August against Francesco Pianeta.
Then, in spite of the lackluster opposition, Fury took on the lethal Wilder and outwitted the undefeated American for extended periods in December.
His lengthy path back to the top of the heavyweight division started in Marbella, where he has now returned.
Fury fought alcohol, drugs, depression, and ballooning up to 28st during his time away from the sport.
He and Davison started their journey to redemption in Spain, and now that he’s back in the spotlight, Fury hopes to compete for all the heavyweight titles against opponents like Anthony Joshua and Wilder.
