She was wearing a large black pullover hooded sweater over her body.

A pair of loose-fitting grey sweatpants with writing down one leg was Selena’s go-to outfit.

The performer paid a special visit to the White House in Washington, DC, last week.

She was there to continue advocating for mental health by taking part in the Mental Health Youth Action Forum.

The panel featured young leaders who are developing innovative approaches to promote mental health in the United States.

“The mentionable becomes manageable,” Selena, the founder of the nonprofit Rare Impact Fund, stated candidly about her battles with bipolar disorder and anxiety.

To share a little bit of my path, I felt that as I learned about what was happening in my mind, I had more freedom to accept what I had because I was gaining knowledge about it. It demonstrates that the subject ought to be openly and shamelessly discussed.

“I want to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, race, religion, or sexual orientation, has access to services that support their mental health when it comes to talking about and de-stigmatizing mental health,” she continued during the discussion.

Additionally, I want to encourage other companies and people to change the world by acting to de-stigmatize mental health. We require as much assistance as possible in creating resources and services and expanding young people’s access to them.
