At Home With The Furys, the reality show about his family, has become the most popular show on Netflix.
Tyson Fury was surrounded by supporters outside Jimmy Egan’s Boxing Academy in Wythenshawe, Manchester, on Tuesday afternoon, suggesting that he is more well-liked than ever after the success of the series.
After growing up in the neighborhood, the 35-year-old World Heavyweight boxing champion has maintained strong ties to the amateur boxing gym where he trained as a teenager.
Tyson was apparently filming an unidentified project at the gym when he was photographed taking a break from the day to speak with fans outside.
Tyson may have been recording promotional material for his October bout against UFC star Francis Ngannou, but fans will be hoping he was filming for a new season of his popular Netflix series.
Tyson’s £300,000 Rolls Royce Cullinan was also photographed outside the gym. It was parked on the grass verge as close to the arena as possible.
However, in order to avoid drawing attention to himself, Tyson sheepishly acknowledged during one episode of the show that he preferred to drive around in his old Volkswagen Passat.
The boxer was wearing shorts, boots, and a vest that was emblazoned with his Gypsy King logo.
Following Tyson as he leaves the ring and attempts to enjoy retirement with his family, the show had its premiere earlier this month.
Tyson recently disclosed that after their new show was out, his family could have to leave their £1.7 million Morecambe property.
He revealed that he and his family might have to move out of their opulent £1.7 million home due to the heightened publicity that followed the show’s premiere.
As he described how people used to stop up at their family home following the release of his 2020 documentary Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King, he prophesied that the show would have “repercussions.”
“I think we’ll probably have to move again, like we had to after the ITV documentary a while back,” he told OK! Magazine.
At 4 a.m., a large number of people continued to arrive at the residence and ring the door. People don’t realize that being famous isn’t always enjoyable, to be completely honest.
Together with their daughters Venezuela, 13, Valencia Amber, 5, and Athena, 2, Tyson and Paris reside in their opulent mansion with their sons Prince John James, 10, Prince Tyson Fury II, 6, and Prince Adonis Amaziah, 4. Paris is expecting their sixth kid right now.
Tyson seemed unsure when questioned about a second season of the popular reality show, cryptically stating that he would have to observe how the first series was received.
But according to his wife Paris, they were “nearly there” in negotiations for a second season of At Home With The Furys, which proved a huge hit with viewers after its release on August 16.
“We’re talking and we’re almost there,” she hinted, referring to the hype generated by the first one and Netflix’s interest in a number two.
It follows Tyson’s admission that he considered canceling the nine-part series at one point while it was being filmed.
He explained that filming the series was difficult and that he “wanted out” early on, even contacting his lawyers to ask them to assist him terminate his contract.
Tyson shyly said on Capital XTRA Breakfast, “Yeah, I wanted out.” A few weeks in, I thought, ‘Is there any way?’
“I would be speaking with my attorneys over the phone,”Is there a way for me to escape this? I’m not sure what I’ve committed to once more. I made a mistake, I did it again, and I claimed I would never do it again.
“It’s clear to see my emotional roller-coaster throughout this episode; that’s just my bipolar going up and down all the time.” “One minute I’m happy, the next minute I’m not.”
Prior to the first episode airing on August 16, it was reported earlier this month that Netflix had revived At Home With The Furys.
However, it was later alleged that Tyson declined the opportunity to film two more seasons of the popular Netflix series, so turning down millions of pounds.
The sportsman has subsequently acknowledged that he wanted to stop filming the first Netflix series on multiple occasions due to the intrusive nature of the show and the fact that cameras followed him, his wife Paris, and their six kids around the clock, according to a TV insider who spoke to MailOnline.
Despite Tyson’s position, Netflix is still interested in working with the family, especially his wife Paris, who is a natural on camera and has received praise from viewers for helping Tyson, who has a number of mental health issues, such as ADHD and bipolar disorder. However, other TV networks may compete with Netflix.
At Home with the Furys, which stars Tyson’s brother Tommy and his fiancée Molly-Mae Hague and is presently the top-rated Netflix series, was originally scheduled to have ten episodes but was shortened to nine, according to MailOnline.
