Usher gave up the Georgia house he had been obsessed with since he was 13 years old for inexplicable reasons

Usher has sold the $1.5 million mansion he bought early in his career.

As reported by Realtor.com, the 39-year-old rapper received $1.1 million less for the Alpharetta, Georgia, property than his original asking price.

The “U Remind Me” singer mentioned in a 2003 issue of How I’m Living that owning this home had always been his dream, which he finally realized seven years later.

Usher, whose full name is Usher Raymond IV, shared on a BET program that he first saw the house while it belonged to music producer L.A. Reid.

The Moesha actress recalls thinking, “One day, I want to own a house like this.”

The home spans over 8,000 square feet, featuring seven bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms.

According to The Blast, it also includes a private dance studio, a yoga studio, and a climate-controlled treehouse. In a 2003 interview, Usher described the master bedroom as “really elegant, yet very warm.”

Despite the estate having security cameras, the burglars also took the tape from the cameras, making it nearly impossible to identify them. The 4,261 square foot residence includes a swimming pool, five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms, and is situated on a hill overlooking the Sunset Strip.

The house was listed for sale following Usher and his wife Grace Miguel’s separation announcement in March.
