The boxer has been hitting up the local council-run gym with his wife – as he keeps up his fighting form after retiring

Shortly after losing to Oleksandr Usyk recently, Tyson Fury declared his retirement from boxing; nonetheless, he was photographed outside a Lancashire recreation center. After retiring from the ring, boxer Tyson Fury appears eager to maintain his fighting fitness.

Nevertheless, the Gypsy King, who has a £120 million fortune, chose to use his local council-run gym rather than costly training camps and individual sessions. Walking to the Salt Ayre Leisure Centre, which is managed by Lancaster Council and provides sessions for just £11, Tyson, 36, and his wife Paris, 35, made their way there. It features a swimming pool, a climbing wall, a beauty spa, and a gym.

Following a second loss against Oleksandr Usyk last month, the British former heavyweight champion, who constructed a gym at the home field of Morecambe FC, announced his retirement from boxing last week. The couple had not been photographed together since Tyson declared his boxing career was “over.”

“I would like to declare my retirement from boxing,” he remarked. It’s been amazing. ‘Dick Turpin wearing a mask’ is my final statement, and I have really enjoyed every moment of it. I’ll meet you on the other side. God bless everyone.

In 2022, the self-described “Gypsy King” declared he would never fight again after stopping Dillian Whyte at Wembley. Five months later, he faced Derek Chisora. Prior to his most recent social media declaration, it was generally assumed that Tyson will compete against fellow Brit Anthony Joshua.

If a bout with Joshua is to be resurrected, promoter Eddie Hearn has given Fury a short window of time to change his retirement decision. Hearn stated in mid-January that “although none of us know what Fury will do next, he would probably have to come out of retirement in the next three or four weeks if we are to see the fight in the summer.”

The summer becomes challenging for a conflict of this magnitude after that.

It won’t have been without controversy if Fury’s career ended with the Usyk loss. Fury didn’t agree with the conclusion, but the Ukrainian won by a unanimous vote.

He told ESPN, “I thought I won the fight again, and I was Larry Holmesed again.” “I had the upper hand the whole time. This is what can occur if you don’t get the knockout.

Promoter Frank Warren expects Fury to stick with his choice after he just announced his retirement. “I support him 100 per cent if that’s what he wants to do,” added Warren.

“He had to make the decision; no one else should make it for him. He’s wealthy, has a wife, seven children, and doesn’t have to box to make ends meet.

“Tyson just needs to please himself, not everyone else, especially those who have been harsh critics of him, because he has already made up his mind. What would motivate him to continue donating blood for them? He has the right to change his mind, but I doubt he will.
