Selena Gomez attended Netflix’s Golden Globe Afterparty 2025 at Spago in Beverly Hills on Sunday, accompanied by her fiancé, Benny Blanco. The couple, who announced their engagement in December, looked incredibly affectionate throughout the 82nd annual ceremony.
At the party, they were joined by Nicole Avant and Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos. Selena changed into her second outfit of the night, opting for an oversized satin blazer paired with a sleek black bandeau dress. She added a pop of color with a bold red lipstick and styled her hair in elegant Old Hollywood waves. Earlier in the evening, she had wowed attendees in a baby blue gown by Prada featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and a flowing Cinderella-style skirt.
Benny complemented Selena’s look in a striking white suit layered over an embellished sweater. During the ceremony, Selena found herself blushing when Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser made an awkward joke about their romance.
Glaser humorously remarked, “A double nominee tonight for Emilia Perez and Only Murders, and she’s here with her new fiancé, Benny Blanco. And Benny’s here because of the genie who granted him that wish,” prompting laughs from the couple.
Benny then leaned in to kiss Selena on her bare shoulder, to which Glaser quipped, “Man, lucky guy,” before continuing her playful banter about movies. She praised Selena’s performance in Emilia Perez, saying, “I love you. Selena, you are so good in Emilia Perez. I loved it so much. It earned ten nominations for Netflix, and I think it’s without a doubt the most audacious, groundbreaking film to ever autoplay after Is it Cake.”
This lighthearted moment followed a month after another awkward joke during her appearance on Late Show with Stephen Colbert. While promoting Emilia Perez, Colbert shared a photo of Benny hugging her over Thanksgiving and cheekily asked, “If you don’t mind me asking, where is this relationship going?”
Selena was visibly stunned by the question, responding, “Whoa,” as the audience laughed. She had initially expected Colbert to ask about the photo’s location instead. Recovering, she said, “You know what, I’m not sure, but I’m having a great time,” before Colbert inquired if she thought Benny was watching the show.
