Selena Gomez embraced self-love in a recent Instagram post by sharing a throwback photo of herself in a zebra bikini from 2013, alongside a more recent picture in high-waisted bikini bottoms and a white tube top. In her caption, she reflected on her changing body, stating, “I realized today that I’ll never look this way again…”

Addressing body image, she noted the impact of body-shaming comments, saying they made her feel deeply hurt. In her more current post, she expressed, “I’m not perfect, but I like who I am,” and acknowledged that sometimes she forgets it’s okay to be herself.

Selena has been candid about her body image struggles, particularly in relation to her lupus medication, which she has said contributes to weight fluctuations. Last February, she confronted online critics, affirming that she would “never be a model” and encouraging her fans to love themselves despite their insecurities.

Earlier that day, she was spotted at Face Place in West Hollywood, where she was pampering herself. Known for its medical beauty treatments, Face Place offers various services such as Botox and skin tightening.

Through her posts, Selena continues to inspire her followers to embrace self-acceptance and body positivity.

“When I’m off of it, I tend to lose weight,” revealed the singer of “Lose You to Love Me,” who has previously discussed her autoimmune disease and health issues.

The former Disney actress, who continues to advocate for body acceptance, stated that her general health was more important than the tiny side effect: “I think they are what help me, and they are crucial.”

She advised critics to “go away” when they raised their voices because she didn’t think it was appropriate to judge someone based solely on their appearance.

“So, definitely not a model,” she stated, before going on to say, “never will be.”

“I simply want everyone to realize how amazing and gorgeous you are.”

The Wizards of Waverly Place actress emphasized that her health came before her appearance.
