Gomez confirmed she and Blanco are set to tie the knot with a sweet Instagram post on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Taylor Swift is already planning her involvement in longtime friend Selena Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco!

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Gomez, 32, announced that she and Blanco, 36, were engaged with a sweet Instagram post, and Swift, 34, made sure to share her excitement in the comments section.

“Yes I will be the flower girl,” the pop superstar wrote.

Gomez confirmed her engagement to Blanco by sharing several photos, including a close-up of her pear-shaped diamond ring, a selfie of her glowing while showing off the ring, and a sweet moment of Blanco kissing his fiancée as she smiled and raised her hand.

Another photo showed Gomez admiring her ring while sitting on a picnic blanket with a Taco Bell box beside her.

“Forever begins now…” the Only Murders in the Building star captioned the post.

Blanco commented, “hey wait… that’s my wife.”

Gomez’s long-time friend, Taylor Swift, wasn’t the only celebrity offering congratulations following the exciting news. The two have been friends since 2008 when they both dated Jonas brothers—Gomez with Nick and Swift with Joe.

Gomez and Blanco began their relationship in June 2023 after collaborating on the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough” with Tainy and J Balvin.

In August 2023, Gomez released the Blanco-produced track “Single Soon” before confirming their romance that December by liking fan posts on Instagram, even commenting, “He is my absolute everything in my heart,” on one.

The couple made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmys in January, with Gomez later discussing their relationship in February with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.

“Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s really important to meet someone who respects you,” she shared. “It’s nice to lean on someone who understands the world I live in. But overall, it’s the safest I’ve felt, and it’s been lovely—I’ve grown through it, so it’s awesome.”

In May, Blanco hinted at the possibility of marriage when asked about Gomez on The Howard Stern Show.

“When I look at her … I just can’t imagine a world better than this,” he said.
