Justin Bieber has not yet followed in Pete Davidson’s footsteps by covering up his tattoo of ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, despite being engaged to Hailey Baldwin. The 24-year-old singer has been seen with the tattoo of Gomez’s face, and although he has made attempts to modify it, he hasn’t completely removed it.

In a February 2016 interview with GQ, Bieber admitted, “This is my ex-girlfriend. So, I tried to cut her face up with some shading, but people still know.” Although he and Gomez rekindled their romance after that interview, it ultimately did not last. This lingering tattoo might explain Gomez’s calm reaction to the engagement news.

Bieber, on the other hand, expressed his excitement about his future with Baldwin. In his engagement announcement, he gushed, “My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life, Hailey Baldwin, and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better, and we complement each other so well! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!”
