When Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Benny Blanco showed up in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Blanco gave her a protective hug.

The singer, 32 years old, and the music director, 36 years old, began dating in the middle of 2023 and made their relationship public in December of that year.

After being together for more than a year, the power couple looked just as in love as ever, cuddling up on a windy November night.

Benny wore a hoodie over a vintage t-shirt from the 1990s that had a picture of Lucy Van Pelt from the comic strip Peanuts and the words “The stress is getting to me.” Selena bundled up in a long coat and scarf.

Benny was seen tenderly putting an arm around his girlfriend as they went outside to make her feel a little warmer and more at ease.

The couple was seen just a few days after Selena slammed TikTok users for making guesses about her body during a public performance.

Because it was part of the American French Film Festival, she went to see her new movie Emilia Perez last week at the DGA Theater Complex in Los Angeles. 

As soon as pictures of the event hit TikTok, people started talking about Selena’s dress, which some thought was too short to hide her curves.

In answer to the rumors, Selena wrote a sharp TikTok comment that said, “This makes me sick.” They are in my small intestine. It gets worse. 

“I don’t care that I don’t look like a stick figure,” Selena, who has had health problems like lupus and had a kidney transplant in 2017, said. That body isn’t mine. That’s it. I’m not a victim, no. I’m just a person.

SIBO, which stands for “small intestinal bacterial overgrowth,” seemed to be what she was talking about. This condition can be brought on by illness or, more often than not, an abdominal surgery.

Because of the surgery or sickness, food and waste will move more slowly through the digestive system. This, according to the Mayo Clinic, lets bacteria grow. 

It was said that Selena was engaged after she took a selfie in the mirror in August with a heart emoji put over her left ring finger.

In the bathroom, where she took the shot, Benny could be seen behind her wearing underwear and flower-print pants.

The popular gossip site DeuxMoi said that the former Disney Channel star “got engaged” earlier that month while “surrounded by friends at their usual beach house hang out.” That’s when Selena posted the picture.

Recently, though, she’s been seen at events promoting her new movie Emilia Perez with her left hand’s fourth finger naked.

Karla Sofía Gascon leads the Spanish-language comedy, which also stars Zoe Saldana and Edgar Ramirez. She plays a cartel boss who pretends to die so she can change gender and become a woman. 

Selena has said in public that Benny is the “love of my life” and that she was the one who first told him “I love you.” 

In December 2023, the star of “The Only Murders in the Building” told everyone that she was dating Benny and that they had been dating in secret for six months.

In early 2018, a source said that Selena was “ready to settle down” and that she thought Benny was “the love of her life.”

“She feels safe and happy with him.” A source told Us Weekly, “They both believe they have found the person they will remain with forever.”

‘She sees this relationship going the distance,’ the person said, adding that her ‘friends and family’ are also the match.

“They’ve talked about getting married and having kids and are very much on the same page,” the source said of their long-term plans. 

People say Selena wants to move to New York because Benny is based there. She already owns houses in Los Angeles and Manhattan.

Benny is a big name in the music business. He is a record producer and singer who has worked with Selena, Halsey, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Charlie Puth, and Kanye West, among others. 

Selena told the public a few months ago that she planned to adopt a child on her own if she was still single at age 35. 

“I was by myself for five years, and I got used to it,” she said at an event for Time’s 100 Most Influential Companies.

“Many people are scared of being alone. I think I tortured myself in my head for about two years by being alone, but then I kind of got used to it.” After that, I made a plan: if I hadn’t met anyone else by 35, I was going to adopt.
