Tom Petty’s old songs aren’t the only thing Selena Gomez likes.
Well, it turns out that the singer also likes the way buildings look. The “Free Fallin” singer used to own a home in Encino that the 27-year-old spent a cool $4.9 million on.
The rock star and his wife Jane Benyo had the over 11,000-square-foot home custom built for them in 1989. It’s exactly what a music superstar would want, but it was recently updated with modern touches while keeping the style that Petty meant. A modern, open lodge with the style of a California beach house is the only way to describe it.
The singer of “Rare” now owns the huge farm, so she will probably add her own style to it. She will have plenty of room to do whatever she wants. There are six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and a lot of extra rooms for the star to use whenever they want.
The in-home recording booth, a must-have for any artist, is likely one of the things that drew Gomez to the land. The former Disney star also has a wine cellar, gym, massage room, work space, and an extra kitchen on the lower level that she can use when she’s not writing her next big hit.
It’s said that Not only did Petty and his wife build the house, they also added secret rooms and tunnels. She also has another half-acre to explore outside the walls if she wants to.
Sel-Go’s old home in Studio City, which she bought for just $2.25 million in 2017, is nothing like these new digs. The home has been good for her for three years, but this new house is almost 7,000 square feet bigger, has a lot more features, and gives her more room to grow.
