On Sunday, Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña planned black outfits for the BAFTA screening of Emilia Pérez, their queer crime musical. The event took place at 195 Piccadilly in London.

There are reports that Selena has joined the trendy Ozempic train after seeing how her body has changed from 2023 to 2024.

The 32-year-old Emmy nominee showed off a lot of cleavage in an Elie Saab dress with pleats and fancy sleeve details. She wore glossy shoes and jewelry by Hassanzadeh that stylist Erin Walsh chose.

Renato Campora, a hairstylist, styled Gomez’s low ponytail with a middle part for the movie party.

Certified billionaire’s make-up artist Hung Vanngo shaped her whole face and used her Rare Beauty brand’s “Gifted” lipstick and lipliner.

Mo Qin, a nail artist, did Selena’s whisper pink manicure.

Gomez plays Jessi Del Monte, the ex-wife of a transgender Mexican drug lord, in Jacques Audiard’s musical film, which opens in some theaters November 1 and then streams on Netflix November 13.

There are already 76 reviews of Emilia Pérez on Rotten Tomatoes, and 86% of them say the movie is “certified fresh.”

The “Texican” pop star told Deadline’s Contenders London on Saturday, “I wanted to be a part of this for many reasons.”

“You’re so lucky to work with Jacques as an actor.” I’m also so grateful to be able to learn from these amazing people. We didn’t all think it would do all of this, but we’re so thankful for it. My hope is that this experience will help me figure out what I can do and what I’m willing to do to get there.

Zoe, whose real name is Zoë Yadira Saldaña Nazario, wore a black corset top with embellishments and loose-fitting ruffled pants that were chosen by stylist Petra Flannery.

The 46-year-old woman is half Dominican and half Puerto Rican. Her beautiful top bun was styled by Mara Roszak, who wore eyeball-shaped chandelier earrings.

Saldaña had a smoky eye and a defined brow done by make-up artist Vera Steimberg. She finished off her look with a pink shiny pout.

The Lioness producer-star has impressively topped THR’s list of best supporting actress Oscar contenders for her role as lawyer Rita Moro Castro, who doesn’t get enough credit.

Zoe said at Deadline’s Contenders London on Saturday, “It was important to understand where Rita was coming from and who she really was.”

“She doesn’t have the guts to speak for herself,” I told her. She doesn’t get enough work, is ignored, and wants things to change badly. She wants power, influence, and success. 

“Being aware that this was a Faustian deal that she would take right away and never look back was important to me because she is also going through a change.” She doesn’t go through a shift as strong, intense, and full-on as Emilia did, but by the time Emilia meets her again three years later, she has really shed her old skin and changed.

Zoe and the two-time Grammy winner made sure to take a picture with Adriana Paz and Karla Sofia Gascón, who won the best actress award at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25.
