There is a lasting marker that Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne use to remember the time they worked together.

The actress, who is 49 years old, told CR Fashion Book in a new interview that she and her daughter Vivienne, who is 16, got matching tattoos while they were working together on the Broadway show The Outsiders.

“While we were on The Outsiders, my daughter Viv and I got ‘Stay Gold,'” Jolie said. The phrase refers to the name of one of the original songs in the play that Jolie and Vivienne helped to make.

“It means so much to us both individually and together,” she said about the tattoo, which she showed off for the first time at the Broadway play’s opening night in April.

There are other tattoos on the actress’s wrist, but she didn’t say where Vivienne’s version of “Stay Gold” was placed.

Jolie looked stunning in her first cover shoot and interview for the October issue of CR Fashion Book, where she talked about being a mother and her work and drew attention to her fashion label, Atelier Jolie.

In 2023, she saw The Outsiders, a musical based on S.E. Hinton’s novel, at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego and was inspired to become one of the lead producers. This is when she talked about the tattoo she has on her arm that she shared with her daughter Vivienne.

At the same time, Jolie told CR Fashion Book about another tattoo her kids and she both have.

“There is also a Bird that is special to some of my children and me,” she said.

The actress did not say which of her six children she has the tattoo with. She is mother to Maddox, 23, and Pax, 20, as well as daughters Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 18, and has a twin brother named Knox with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

Jolie told the outlet, “There are too many to count or name just one.” She also talked about what her kids have taught her. But once you have kids, you’re never again first. Someone else needs your life. It makes me feel great.

She also talked about how she came up with the idea for her fashion line, Atelier Jolie, which she launched in May 2023, in another part of the conversation.

She told CR Fashion Book, “My goal was to create a place, a home, for people to be creative and get ideas.” “The house is made up of artists and designers from all over the world, and at its core is a call to get involved with design again and help build community.”
