The singer Selena Gomez is thankful for her goddaughter.

The singer and actress shared a video on Instagram Stories on September 15 of a small relative cheering her on at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, where she was up for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series.

During the Emmys, the little girl yelled, “Tia, tia!” as she jumped for joy.

Gomez was upset that Jean Smart won the Emmy for her part in Hacks, but the actress was able to find comfort in the video.

“My granddaughter made my night…” Gomez, 32, wrote in her comment, “By the way, my name is Tia, too. Tia means “Aunt” in Spanish.”

Ellen says that Gomez became an aunt to Aubriella Marie Cosme in 2020, who is the daughter of her cousin Priscilla Cosme.

The star of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ had her happy moment as a godmother while she was at the Emmys with her boyfriend Benny Blanco.

The black velvet dress Gomez wore was custom-made from the Ralph Lauren Collection. It had a hand-beaded pavé collar. She added to her outfit with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Blanco kissed his girlfriend on the cheek while they were taking a picture in the evening. Gomez was also seen sitting on his lap while they posed for another picture at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
