His name is Hen and she is from Seoul. She gets her bright tattoo ideas from animals. These simple drawings use strong lines, simple shapes, and bright colours to show how cute animals of all sizes can be.
Hedges with long tails, colourful sheep, and kittens with funny faces are all there. These animal friends look like they belong in their own picture book. Hen uses both hatch marks and stippling in her tattoos to show how the animal’s fur feels, add colour, and make the piece look like it’s moving. She also often gives her cute figures little sparkles by drawing four straight black lines with a yellow dot in the middle.
Hen’s tattoos usually have an animal and a few simple details around it, but some have more complicated—and sometimes magical—backgrounds. In one piece, for example, two cats are cuddled together inside a rocketship that looks like something from a cartoon and is going into space. In another tattoo, a happy dog is shown sitting inside a big coffee mug. No matter what kind of animal it is or how big the tattoo is, Hen turns every picture into a colorful playroom.
