A few days before this year’s Met Gala, Rihanna unveiled a daring new hairstyle.

The 36-year-old singer stepped out in New York City wearing a casual attire and flaunting her striking bright pink tresses.

She last appeared in public on Friday of last week, attending the Fenty Beauty new product launch event in Los Angeles, with straight, honey blonde hair.

She displayed her bouncy curls flying in the wind by wearing her long, gorgeous locks down.

This comes after she declared that she will attend the biggest night in fashion and that this year’s Sleeping Beauties theme would feature a “simple” look.

The founder of Fenty Beauty chose an understated all-black outfit to contrast with her striking hair.

She wore baggy sweatpants and a zip-up sweatshirt wrapped underneath a leather jacket for her outing.

Her hair complemented her casual, dark suit, and her bubblegum pink rubber shoes stood out. 

She was holding a black leather handbag that matched her attire. 

She wore large, rectangular sunglasses that hid her eyes as well.

For a little glam, she accented with small stud earrings and a delicate tennis chain necklace. 

She probably wore a vivid manicure to match her striking hairstyle for the Met Gala. 

The businesswoman also flaunted her natural, glowing beauty while appearing to be makeup-free and barefaced.

She may be wearing a wig to cover off her Met Gala hairstyle in anticipation of the yearly, celebrity-filled event. 

The nine-time Grammy winner only confirmed last week that she will be present at this year’s much-anticipated event.

She also hinted subtly at the style she would be going for this year in an interview with Extra.

She informed the publication that she will wear something “simple” to the Costume Institute’s upcoming show, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” where “The Garden of Time” is the required outfit.

This year, I’m actually keeping things pretty basic. The vocalist of Umbrella stated, “It will depend on how my hair and makeup look.”

Rihanna also mentioned that she’s reduced her selection of clothes to just two.

“Very simple-ish… I am going to dinner! compared to everything I have done,” she joked.

On Mother’s Day, the busy mother promised to give herself some alone time. 

She disclosed her plans, saying, “Hopefully, I will get some sleep and maybe even pick up a bouquet of flowers.” 

“Whatever I do for our mothers, they truly deserve to be the center of attention on Mother’s Day this year… Rocky is out of town and they are literally holding it down right now.

The mother of two went on to answer the nagging question about her upcoming album. 

“It will be incredible,” she informed the publication.
